This is the card inside for the card that I made for my daughter's 14th birthday. Please see my Gallery for the card front. It's been a couple of months since I made a card so it felt really good to start creating again and even though I was a bit rusty, the card came together quickly and easily which put a BIG smile on my face :-))
The image is from an old Elzybells clear set (Elzybells are no longer in business) but Penny Black have brought out a clear set 'Wishes and Hugs" PNY-CS-30222 which has this Elzybells image plus the sentiment. The image with the teddy peeking out of the box plus the sentiment on my card front (see my Gallery) are also included in the set - just not the gift box. I stamped the image onto Ranger Watercolor cardstock with my MISTI using Jet Black ink and coloured with Derwent Inktense + Faber-Castell watercolour pencils and a #2 round paintbrush. I re-stamped the box onto the back side of my dp to paper piece the box and then cut it out. I went around the edges with a Copic multiliner black pen to hide any white edges. I coloured in the circles using a purple watercolour pencil then glued it to my image using Tombow Mono Multi glue. I used my MISTI to stamp the sentiment.
I used an EK Success Arrows border punch to punch tiny hearts out of lilac cardstock (the leftover punchies look like tiny little hearts to me) and glued them around my image using Tombow Mono Aqua glue.
I added SU Dazzling Details glitter glue to the balloons, teddy's cheeks, ribbon, butterflies, circles on the gift box, confetti and the tiny punched hearts.
All the layers were trimmed to either 1/16" or 1/8" using my Perfect Layers Tools. The background (dry) embossing is a Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder - one of my favourites that I have used for many years which I ran through my Big Shot.
Thanks for having a peek at my card! You are welcome to visit my blog 'Instead of Ironing Blogspot' - this link will take you to my blog post for this card---> http://instead-of-ironing.blogspot.c...hday-card
