This technique of placing the strips has become additive! Here is another bg with the brown strips. I stamped the pup twice and cut out the two parts and pasted the the white die cut then used foam squares to attach to the card.

What a gorgeous herringbone...such a great choice of patterns to enhance your little puppy in a pocket. The paper-pieced pocket is delightful! The lacy background die-cut for your image is so great...soften its entire look. Love that image...I have a daughter-in-law who is all about Chihuahuas. She'd love this!!!

Darling card! I love your background! The papers you chose look great together! If that dog were colored white with black markings I would say it were my puppy! Love this!

What a cute pup - reminds me of a book we had as kids called "A Dog So Small". And the herringbone background is great! I'm glad you're having fun with it. It's a technique I go back to fairly regularly, it's a fun one.

Love your paper combinations for your herringbone...such a great background for your cute pup whose colors are a perfect compliment to the bg colors. Love the lacy die-cut shape to display your pup, plus the contrast of the white on brown and the frilly vs. geometric...all makes for a very interesting card!
