The roller coaster in the picture is said to be the oldest wooden built coaster in the USA. Clint Eastwood used the "Boardwalk" including the merry-go-round and coaster, in a few of his Dirty Harry movies.
Every summer we would take the kids for a day of rides and food as we lived 45 mins. away. Now my grandchildren go every year with their parents.

Oh my - I remember how those wooden roller coasters CREAKED when you rode them - and I spent my time on the ride fervently Praying that it wouldn't come apart at the joints!!

Your card evokes wonderful memories of long gone amusement parks. Think Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH still has their wooden roller coaster. The soft colors you used plus the weathered wood embossing make one feels like they are looking through a mist of memories.

What a marvellous image and set of memories to go with it! I love your soft stamping using grey and the weathered board background. You wouldn't get me on one of those rollercoasters for anything in the world! :-) ...but it is great that it continues to be fun for your family!
