The MIX challenge this week was to use your stencils in a different way. I decided to try the stencil with alcohol inks. I know the alcohol inks absorb into the Bristol Smooth paper, but I like using the inks this way. The inks also bled, or maybe that was the absorbing. Either way, that made for a nice soft look. After that step dried, I placed the stencil back on and added the translucent embossing paste. Took that outside to dry.
When dry, I die cut and colored the bg with the chalks.
Because of the bleeding/ absorption, the Ginko leaves have a soft look to them.
This is half of a sheet I used this technique on, the other is right next door.
TFL!

Oh wow...another beauty! I love the bits of green color on those leaves. So pretty! And the shaped card contributes to this one of a kind design (ok two of a kind if we're countng your other card..lol). Love it!

Not only do you have a great artistic eye, but your talents with photography equal them....to capture the shine on the ginkgo leaves. A beautiful shaped card...and smart use of the vellum for the sentiment...as not to block any of your design.
