The MIX challenge this week was to use your stencils in a different way. I decided to try the stencil with alcohol inks. I know the alcohol inks absorb into the Bristol Smooth paper, but I like using the inks this way. The inks also bled, or maybe that was the absorbing. Either way, that made for a nice soft look. After that step dried, I placed the stencil back added the translucent embossing paste, and took that outside to dry.
When dry, I die cut and colored the bg with the chalks.
Because of the bleeding/ absorption, the Ginko leaves have a soft look to them.
This is half of a sheet I used this technique on, the other is right next door.

What a unique look you achieved with your techniques! This is lovely and I enjoyed reading about your process. Your vellum label with the sentiment is a really cool detail. Thanks for playing along Jennifer!

Exquisite, Jennifer. I like your technique with the alcohol inks....and as you said, the softer results from the inks bleeding. Lovely composition to your card and the orange framing adds pizzazz.
