We have a lovely friend who is graduating high school this year. Her school colors are black, white, and maroon. I hand made the plaid for the background with her school colors (or close approximations). This post from Jennifer McGuire inspired me to make a shaker card: http://www.jennifermcguireink.com/20...word-dies.html
After making the plaid and die cutting the numbers, I poured the sequins onto the base and then secured the top. I stamped the foil paper with Stazon ink and fussy cut the mortarboard. This was fun to make and is for a very sweet young lady.
Thanks for looking.

Wow, this is perfect for a graduation card! Love how you created the plaid background with her school colors, the shaker element and your graduation cap- great job! I am sure she will love this card as well as your thoughtfulness- tfs!
After doing all my cards in my usual styles this is sooo refreshing to see a diffrent and unique graduation card! And you did one of my favorite techniques too. Creating your own plaid bkg. Yours is much straighter then mines however. All mines are always never ever straight like this .lol. Mahalo for sharing.

Fabulous graduation card. Love the use of the school colors. The large numbers with the graduation hat is awesome. The shaker card idea is outstanding. The recipient of this one will love it! Terrific card. TFS
