Given the theme, sketch and colors, coming up with the card was pretty straightforward. For the central round element, I chose the versatile Wonderous Wreath from Stampin' Up!, but as a twist, I gold embossed it onto craft-colored cardstock. Since craft is a challenging surface to get a good ink impression, I used my MISTI to ink the paper three times before sprinkling the gold embossing powder on it. It made for good solid coverage. I thin die cut the wreath out with the matching Wonderful Wreath Framelits.
The stockings were likewise inked three times using the MISTI, then gold embossed using my heat tool. They were then punched out using the matching SU stocking punch (both stamps and punch are now retired).
The greeting from the SU Happy Scenes stamp set was also stamped with Versamark three times and then heat embossed onto the card base.
The 3/4" wide "banner" was cut from a scrap piece of gold glimmer paper left over from another project. The bottom was knotched using paper snips cutting a short vertical slice in the center of the bottom edge, then cutting in from each corner to meet the top of the slice.
Assembly went pretty quickly using Tombow glue on the thick Whisper White cardstock, wreath, and the lower stocking. The upper stocking and glimmer paper were attached using small pieces of adhesive foam strip to add layering and depth to the card.

A lovely card, I particularly like the gold and kraft wreath. A great tip for heat embossing on kraft, it can be tricky. Thanks for sharing with us at the Christmas Card Throwdown.
