While I was on my business/vacation trip to Canada last week, I was naturally checking in on the challenges every day. So, I planned this card throughout the week. Four challenges in one!
I really like the sketch this week. It made a really interesting card, and I would never come up with a sketch like this myself. I'm particularly uncreative sketch-wise. I used panel #1 for my National Wine Day image. I love this digi from FTHS. Colored him up with my Spectrum Noirs and Copics. Panel #2 is my Smack Down Technique. Not sure I followed the rules quite right on this one. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig and placed my stamps perfectly. Stamped with Rhubarb Stalk and Tangelo and then sponged the BG with Dried Marigold and a bit of Tangelo. For Panel #3, I used a bit of washi tape and Panel #4 I embossed a bit of white cored cardstock and sanded it down to really make the pattern pop. All in Roberta's CC636 colors.
Woo!

Wow - how fun to go to Canada for a business trip. I got to do that once a long time ago and loved it.
Your card is sooooo fun. What a great image and it is perfect for this sketch. Sure hope that chickie doesn't drink that whole glass! lol. Hugz

Fabulous. You really planned this one well. I like how you used the sections on the sketch to your advantage; I'm impressed. The colors worked out nicely for your image. The "aged to perfection" sentiment was perfect. Love the distressed embossing. I forget to do that. Great job on your beautiful card. Welcome home for your trip. TFS

Fantastic use of the sketch, color challenge, technique and the wine themed challenge all in one. This is brilliant! I love seeing when people get really creative and can incorporate so many challenges in one card. Thank you for playing along.
