TLC639: smackdown technique is what I used to create the background.
CC636: this week's color challenge are Old Olive, Tangelo Twist, and Cherry Cobbler. I had to substitute Pumpkin Pie for the Tangelo Twist.
I used an older stamp set, Greehnouse Garden to make the background. I really like how it turned out. Then the challenge was to work the old olive in. I chose to do that with the die cut and also one of the glimmer brads. I wasn't able to work in the ribbon, though. I tried but didn't like anything I tried.
I really like the smackdown technique and will try that again.
Thanks for looking.

Great choice of stamp for the background, Catherine, and it worked well with the CC. I like the way the Cobbler flower centre almost looks like fireworks. I like the music notes in your watermark too ;-).

Wow Catherine, seen so many cards using this technique I'm really going to have to give it a try. Your card is beautiful and your background is perfect.
