This LO is part of another monthly challenge and I found inspiration from another of Lela's beautiful LOs. Here's her original LO which I only slightly modified. Homework? by Lmn at Splitcoaststampers
The plan was to simply scraplift Lela's LO but I have been watching a lot of mixed media videos and was itching to try out some new paste. Not sure if I should have just stuck to my original plan as I never know when to stop with mixed media....LOL. The good part was that I was able to try out stamps and paints that have been sitting in my stash
Apart from smearing some crackle texture paste through a stencil, spritzing water and dabbing some Lindy's magical powders, I spent most of the time rummaging through all my stash for the right emphera, bling and anything else I could find that would work on this page.
I also did a lot of moving things around, sticking, unsticking, cutting, stamping and thoroughly enjoying myself. It may look a bit cluttered to some, but I love layers and texture and I'll have a go at anything....LOL.
If you've never tried Lindy's magical, note that the colours are not always what they appear as powder in the jars. Luckily I'd been forewarned about this and tested them before spritzing and dabbing them on my page! They are as they say...magical.... and the colours blew me away. Love them.
Emphera, Arrow cut out, Twine, Bling and Alphas added. Was it time to stop....nope, I thought everyone who does mixed media stamps, so out come as many as I can find that I thought might work. It was after I'd stamped away, I wondered why I had brought that SU Real Red out again...do I never learn? (I do love it by the way...it just gets everywhere LOL). It was definitely time to stop!
Thanks for looking at my LO. Happy day and weekend everyone
PS: That crackle paste is yummy
