For today's color challenge, the talented Karen Barbara selected SU Peekaboo Peach, Calypso Carol, and Always Artichoke. This is the card I created for the color challenge, as well as for the Scrapping Cottage Blog.
I stamped the CottageCutz Gladious Flower image onto white card stock and colored it with copics that closely match the colors for the challenge. Afterwards, I cut the image out with a matching die. Then I cut a rectangle from the negative floral cutout and created an inlay design, which I framed.
I used a stencil and Tim Holtz Oxide Inks to sponge the stencil design onto a piece of white card stock. The panel, matted with SU designer paper, was adhered to the card base. The frame and inlay piece was attached to the card base along with the sentiment, "hello", that was cut from one of the newly released CottageCutz Expression Plus Designs word dies.
Enjoy, and thanks for viewing and commenting!

I can see a lot of work went into this one, Bev. And it is beautiful. I like seeing how these new oxides are being used. The diecut hello works perfectly across the top corner. Lovely card!

Wow, this is beautiful. I love how you used the colors. I'll be honest, I wasn't impressed with the color combo and drew a blank, now I understand that these colors do work well together thanks to you. Lovely card.

Oh, Bev, this is gorgeous! I love these colors and had hoped to join in, but you know how we can do only what we can! I love your layout and the beautiful flower. And what a great idea to inlay the flower after die-cutting it. Stunning! And what a great background with the Oxide ink...along with the "hello" sentiment! Perfection, sis! Hugs and love! xoxo

Bev, this is amazing! Love how you inlaid the flowers, which are so beautifully colored. The stenciled background panel is awesome. Love how you blended the colors. The cross-stitched dies are terrific. The big script hello is fabulous in coral. Well done! TFS
