Wow! Joyce Ann has some wonderful challenges in our Merry Month of May VSBN. Her third challenge is to honor Mother's Day, by using perhaps a momento on our layout. I used a newspaper article I just recently found, and luckily found the photos that go with it! Now they are all in one place! I used heritage paper I bought years ago, thinking I would do a heritage album. Haven't yet. LOL The tribute is to DH's grandmother on her 100th birthday. I thought this was perfect for our Challenge. I used a stencil for the "100". I didn't heat emboss, but chose to dry emboss, and to use various dies. The cut outs from the frames is what I embossed and put under the articles. I have lots of paper, but continue to be thrifty with it! LOL I found a charm I have had forever and thought it would look good here. The pearls are like buttons, but not buttons. I have no idea where I got them, but have had them in my stash for years in a little zip lock bag. Hmm. )
Thank you Joyce Ann for the challenge.
Thank you for looking.

What a wonderful layout to celebrate your DH's grandmother! I love your beautiful background paper, but you made a wise choice to tone it down by putting a plain piece of paper over the center of it so it wouldn't overwhelm your photos.
