In need of some "me" time I took time for a second card this afternoon. Actually, after working every afternoon this week I was just really enjoying the luxury of being home!!
Base layer - white card, stencilled using pumice stone and a TCW trellis stencil. Then I added the encrusted jewels (plus it seemed like a good opportunity to also use up some UTEE which I contaminate with white EP), then sponged the edges black, then edged them with a gold marker.
Main panel - still playing with my lovely birthday gift (thank you, Lorraine) of Mermaid Markers. Surprisingly for a mixed media challenge I didn't add any of my usual Stickles and Liquid Pearls to the flowers in my garden, just embossed the image with clear EP and coloured with the markers. The panel is edged with a tiny touch of white acrylic with glitter sprinkled over it, and then with a gold pen. The butterflies were stamped and embossed, then wiped with ink pads to colour.
Mixed media: Mermaid Markers, distress inks, acrylic paint.
