For today's inspiration challenge, Audrie has asked us to use a sentiment as the source to create from. I needed a card for a colleague who is in need of some moral support. I created a background using the watercolor smoosh technique. When it was dry, I die cut with the largest deckled edge die, then stamped the woman in black. The die created an embossed border so I used a versamark pen around the edge and then applied the PP. Die cut the 2 long sides of the patterned paper, attached the watercolor panel. This came easier than I thought, until I got to the sentiment. I tried 5 times to make it shimmery, luminous, anything to complement the word bright in the sentiment, each one a fail because it smudged or dulled the ink. I finally stamped on the leftover smoosh bg, punched and added the gems. C'est La Vie! Added a fiber trim in blue and green at the bottom.
