Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge is to create a card out of inspiration from our sentiment stamps, plus bonus points for using the 'Sentiment Backdrop' Technique. This was a perfect opportunity to try this awesome technique and to use a brand new set from Our Daily Bread designs, called 'Sunday School Teacher'. The cross image and sentiment were stamped on Confetti Cream cardstock in black; a mask for the cross was cut out with the ODBD Custom Crosses Dies set then temporarily adhered over the stamped cross; the sentiment was stamped over the mask in Marina Mist (to match the flecks in the cardstock). Once the mask was removed, the scratch paper from which the mask was cut was placed over the image so that I could sponge the matching ink inside the cutout. One tiny blue gem was added to the center of the cross. This card will be given to one of the elders in my study group. Because of the unique background technique, I will also be submitting this card for the Fan Club monthly theme of 'Background Check'.
Thanks so much for looking! Have a very blessed day!

This is wonderful - love how your sentiment and spacing was so precise on the card. The delicate colouring of the cross works beautifully, especially with the tiny gem catching the eye.

Wonderfully done with the repeated stamping technique. You inspire me to try it! Love the cross and the sentiment goes so well with it. Great card. TFS
