This was a tough sketch for me. I struggle when there are too many pieces that I'm supposed to fit in--and then I added one more!
This card is for my Gram who turned 91 today. Nothing like waiting til the last minute, right? I will bring this over to her house this evening. Is it Hallmark that does the Maxine cards? Gram has always liked her, so I chose this Bugaboo digi because she reminds me of Maxine. Then I went on Pinterest looking for house cleaning humor, because Gram has never been quiet about her dislike of housework. I found this funny saying and put "Happy Birthday, Good Lookin'!" on the inside. She'll get a kick out of it!
Gram's favorite color is green, so I started with a couple of different green panels and then used a fun washi tape (flowers to go with the plants that my lady is holding) to offset another green strip. On Saturday the pin that I used for the Inspiration Challenge was a project using Core'dinations paper. I thought it was really neat, so I wanted to try it with some white core CS and an embossing folder. I love the result and will definitely use that again. So I almost went renegade with the sketch and declared that I moved the #7 strip down on the tag, but decided to keep it as a strip of gold glitter washi tape behind the image. Why not? So my "It's Me or the House" sentiment is an added element to the card. I always get nervous when there are too many elements to the sketch, but I like how this came out. Thanks for a real challenge!

I think you totally rocked the sketch! Love the digi of "Gramma", and the hilarious sentiment!

Fabulous! This turned out great, despite your hesitations. I liked your story of how this card came into being and who it is for. Your Gram is going to love it; sounds like it fits her to a T. Love the image and the sentiments. So cute and funny. I will use these lines when my DH gets home tonight! I like to make him laugh. Love the colors and papers you used. Well done! TFS
