This is for the Inspiration Challenge – Scor-Pal Scoring Ideas and Projects Pinterest Board. From this site, I can see I am under-using my Scor-Pal and there are a lot of fabulous ideas to try out. Today I needed a quick birthday card for a special needs young man. He loves cards. I didn’t want to confuse him a special fold card or one that opened differently, so I stuck to the usual side fold. I was inspired by this pin to add texture & interest with by scoring a pattern of lines.
I used scraps. On a strip of Costal Cabana CS, I scored a pattern of lines flipping the paper over to get both valleys and hills on the strip. I happened to grab a card base that already had some score lines. I adhered a strip of Fresh Prints DSP in-between lines, added the scored Coastal strip. On the inspiration card, I liked the sentiment in an oval with sponging. For mine, I heat embossed a HB, punched a small oval for a mask and used a dauber to put down some color. Then die-cut the two ovals and raised both up on Dimensionals. Quick & easy thatÂ’s what I needed today. WeÂ’re off to a party soon. TFL

I felt the way you did looking at the scor site . . .I am definitely under-utilizing mine too! (but have marked a bunch of stuff to try!) It's amazing how much interest a few simple score lines can add to a card. this is a great quixck & easy card.

I'm sure that young man would love this card to pieces! Love the red accents - the red mat of the sentiment also pick up the reds on the dp...like how clean and simple this is!
