Technique Lovers Challenge today is to try the techniques of flower pounding or flower pressing, or both! I pounded on half the flowers that have come up so far in my yard, but being as they are pastel shades, they did not show. Then I tried leaves alone. While I only got a touch of color here and there, the leaves embossed themselves into my specialty paper, and I decided to run with that design. From Design Seeds I found shade ideas for citrus shades, or succulent hues, https://www.design-seeds.com/in-natu...ulent-hues-24/, and watercolored with three shades of ink around the leaves. I added the sentiment, a bit of green Washi tape, and a citrus-hued butterfly. Can't get any greener than that! TFL!

Kandie, this is beautiful! Yep, much harder to get any colour from leaves (unless you ink them first, LOL - that was a TLC way way back), but they do add fabulous texture and design.

Very pretty - I like the subtle citrus shades. (from what I can see of your leaves they are somewhat glossy looking) From experience, I can tell you that NON-glossy flowers & leaves will transfer the pigments much easier and leave more intense images.
