Hiya! I am playing along with the MIX220 challenge to create an usual border. I think this is pretty unusual! I was inspired when I read the list of ideas. Tears and scraps came together in my head! I basically used the Faux Torn Mosaic tutorial except I couldn't decide on a good color ink to sponge on the paper so I left them blank. Papers/collage/pieces qualify for the MIX but I also colored the cat with Copics and shaded her with Inktense Pencils.
The sentiment came from Spencer's set which I have been featuring during the month of April. I just love that this set can be used to encourage someone affected by ASD but it can also be used for MANY other occasions as well!

This looks as if you were at the first stage of the serendipity technique before stamping! It makes a fabulous frame for your cute kitty. I think I owe you a pm, last week turned crazy busy and I forgot to reply, my bad.

Purrrfect border for the cute kitten and the sentiment. I like how you stamped the cat upside down, peeking out from behind. The torn paper border is terrific! What a great way to use scraps. I like it with the white edge. The green polka-dot paper gives your card some sparkle. I like how you tore smaller pieces for the sentiment strip. Very well done. Into my favs. TFS

I LOVE this - great use of the technique and I love the bold scraps you used in contrast with the black - and of course the sentiment and cat are so perfect too! Faved.
