Card base is Stampin' Up! Pacific Point with an Early Espresso Matting for the main Whisper White panel.
The wheelbarrow is from the 2006 (retired) SU The Wheel Thing stamp set. It was inked with Pacific Point, then a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker was used to color the wheel before it was stamped on the main panel.
To create the appearance of the flower pots sitting in the wheelbarrow, I stamped the wheelbarrow using Stazon Jet Black ink onto the Martha Stewart's Adhesive Stencil Film (comes in a 11 in x 3 yrd roll), then hand cut the wheelbarrow out to use as a mask over the blue stamped image. Then I stamped the two flower pots on top of the masked wheelbarrow using a small Art Impressions stamp that I had inked with a retired SU Really Rust Stampin' Write marker. I colored in the pots using an Aqua Painter that I had transfered the Really Rust color to from the marker.
Since I didn't want the flower stems to stamp on top of the pots, I stamped the pot onto the Stencil Film again with Stazon, and hand cut it out. Before I stamped each flower, I applied the pot mask over each pot (leaving the wheelbarrow mask in place in case the stem was too long). The flowers were hand colored with Stampin' Write Markers, huffed, then stamped. I used my stamp positioner to make sure the flowers were centered in each pot. After the flowers were stamped, I colored them with markers, then removed the masks completely.
Finally, I used masking tape to cover individual lines of the 3-line Anita's Gardener's stamp so that I could ink each line with a specific color, then stamp onto Whisper White. This works great, if you remember to REMOVE THE MASKING TAPE before you stamp each time!!!! Each of the lines of the sentiment were cut into strips and matted with a matching cardstock color. They were glued down with Tombow glue per the sketch pattern for the challenge.
It's so nice to make Spring cards again!!! Goodbye to Idaho winter!
