When I ventured into my craft room my intention was to start another scrapbook LO as I had been thinking that card making wasn't for me and my OCD , but 2 of the weekly challenges had caught my eye.
I had the stamp set I wanted to use and the colours and was thinking this will be an easy challenge for me....even I can't stuff this one up. Mmmmm....sometimes things don't always go quite to plan.
The flowers were stamped on the front of the card first and all was well until I turned the card over and saw it was covered in ink. OK, we can remedy that. The sentiment stamped, clear embossed and die cutting done. Still going ok. Ribbon attached. How did that get onto the back of the card? Readjust, stamp flowers inside card and envelope. More ink on the inside of the card.....grrrr....maybe I should have scrapbooked after all. More cardstock cut, glued to cover up all inky spots, sequins added and 1.5 hours later I have my 1 card. I'm happy, inky fingers and all Hubby says at $500/card it's not bad LOL
The design isn't something new but I made it.
Thanks for taking time to look at my card

Your description made me laugh - not because frustration is funny but because this happens to me all the time! (I chalk it up to vision impairment and find myself working more in layers so I don't botch the whole card . . .) I love those airy little flowers and the scattering of sequins - the color combo makes me smell pumpkin pie (yum) - I'd say you made this card in record time as I often need 3-4 hours to make a card work for me . . . This card is just lovely!

LOL!m that is what my hubby says, at $500.00 cards! Lovely card, though! We all get inky fingers. Sometimes my card turns out better, because I added something to cover up a ink spot!

Thanks so much for posting your frustration. I am right there with you, and from the sounds of it, a lot of us are, lol.......Why did we get into this hobby of ours again?, lol.....Anyways, I like your card. I like the font of the sentiment very much. And the sequin placement too. The orange ribbon makes this a bright and happy looking birthday card!
