This is a shaped card for the 8th Week of the Alpha Challenge. Dessert was shaped card for spring, but I came across this design of a book card and decided to make a shaped journal instead.
The front, back and closure tab are all one piece. The corners are rounded. I used gesso on the front and tab and then drew a texture tool through it for some dimension. Pale pink, pale blue and pale green Distress inks were blended over the front and tab. French phrases were inked in Memento London Fog and stamped several times. A die cut frame was attached to the front. Pale pink glitter was glued at an angle across the front. Die cut leaves were inked in a pale green, and they and a flower were glued on. The whole front was sprayed with frost spray. See the next screen for the inside. Four grommets and a ribbon hold the card closed and open easily. TFL!

What a lovely journal-shaped card this is Kandie. I think you are the only artist I know who can make a mixed media card in such wonderful soft colors so it still has that terrific vintage feel to it as well. Just stunning my friend. Hugs! ~Karen.
