Today's technique is no line colouring. Sabrina provided a couple of tutorials, and also referenced a water color tutorial by Deb Watson:
I absolutely love the look of watercolor art and have a lot to learn.
I began by stamping my flower & stem image with antique linen on the watercolor paper and followed Deb's directions by wetting & painting the background first, then the flower & stem.
I used a clothing iron to dry, press & flatten the paper. Then I tore the edges and also on Background paper.
Assembled on purple base card, then stamped the sentiment using gathered twigs distressed ink.
I'm pretty happy with the results. I need to be brave and use more intense colors....taking baby steps!!

Love the gentle look of this. You offset it beautifully with your torn paper in such lovely colors.

I have made hundreds of cards and so many people say it has brought joy to their lives which, in turn, brings joy to my life. Almost everyone I give them to says that they always save me, which I consider a huge compliment.

Love your torn paper. You got beautiful color range with this cone flower- it looks just perfectly sun kissed and lovely with your watercolored background!

Aren't baby steps how we all start out ;-). I'm glad to realise I already own this stamp or I might be looking to buy it. I am impressed, there is so much line detail in those stamps that I would never in a million years have thought of using it for this challenge. The soft sunny background is absolutely gorgeous too. Thanks for playing along with the TLC, Jeannie.
