I tried this technique a while ago in a class taught by Susan Porter. I haven't revisited it because I find it a little challenging. I really like the subtle result I get, though. Guess I'll have some fun practicing this skill.

I'm glad the challenge gave you a chance to revisit this, because while I too found it a little challenging, wow - your soft colouring and beautiful flower are absolutely beautiful - it looks just like a watercolour drawing. Thanks for playing along!

If I got results like your gorgeous flower, I'd be doing this ALL the time! Your shadings are so subtle and realitic - I am in awe and this is going into my fav's as to HOW it should be done!!
