I hear you, I need to practice a lot more too! Shading is definitely not one of my stronger points. But haven't you got a beautiful soft watercolour-look rose to show for your work! It's the sort of image I would have used for my FIL, he loved his roses.

I'm right there with you Liz as this was a major struggle for me too. (with alot of unrecognizable images in the garbage . .) You managed a very nice rose with great layers of color.
