I have a goal to try to do the Inspiration Challenge for each week in 2017, but since I made the goal recently, I decided to go backwards to the beginning of 2017 as well as keep up going forward! I had been going through the Featured Stampers' galleries and tagging my favorites to get back to, but the Free For All Friday challenge this week was a good motivator
to get in there and start making some cards, and I got through all of January's Featured Stampers!
The FS from the week of January 8, 2017 was wearestampers. Congratulations, Pam!
I LOVE light blue and brown, but did a lot of improvising because I didn't have flower punches or dies in the sizes that Pam used, so I had to improvise with some flowers of different sizes. I hope I got at least some of the spirit of Pam's gorgeous card!
I started with a light blue card and picked a dark blue floral print as the bottom part of the card to sort of mimic the vines on Pam's card. I added a strip of fabric tape (I heart Target's Dollar Spot!) as the divider.
To make the big flower, I used Stampin' Up's Petal Pizazz set and stamped three different flowers on the back side of the papers I was using, and fussy cut them with my craft knife. I flipped them over, stacked them, and used a light blue flower brad to hold them all together. I did the same to make the two smaller flowers, using a vintage-y brown and blue print paper for them. I flipped them over, used my flower punch to punch out two tiny flowers for the centers, and put the flowers together using aged bronze brads. I attached all three to the card using foam tape for dimension. Then I took a chipboard rectangular tag and glued some more of the patterned paper to it and trimmed the edges. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of white using sepia ink, cut it out and glued it to the tag. I added another brad to the tag hole and glued it to the card. I finished with a scattering of flatback pearl stick-ons.
Congrats again, Pam! I hope you had a great week as Featured Stamper!

Blue and tan or kraft is one of my favourite combinations too! Love your take on the FS's card! Your pretty blossoms and pearls are sure to brighten someone's day!
