I was delighted to be able to use one of the embossing folders Lorraine sent me at Christmas to create this birthday card for her. I used the Center Step tutorial from Resources, adjusting it slightly so that it was wide enough in the centre to accommodate my row of beach houses. I used some old textured paper for covering the bottom and side panels.
Stamped and masked the beach huts, then stamped the lighthouse. Coloured them with Inktense pencils and then didn't know where to go...so I cut them out and added them to an embossed and sponged base. The bottom strip of the card was perfect for adding the pelican from Calm Shores and a few shells from Art Journey - the rope down each side is also Art Journey. Happy Birthday, friend!

Ooh, love this center step card, Sabrina. The beach huts are so cute. The rope finishes it off in a grand way. I have to say, also, I really like that embossing folder. Need it.

This is such a great looking card, Sabrina. The ef is just perfect for this side step card. Your terrific sense of design really shines on this one...I like the ropes, sea bird, and shells on the outside. Now I have something fun to do today...go shopping for that ef. Steven's job came to an end, so I am not buying things, however, efs with a 40% coupon fit even my budget and I just love how this one looks on your card.

Wonderful, peaceful seaside village scene here! The embossing gives it a weathering and the swirly bg in the panel reminds me of the breeze sweeping by!
