What 2 fun challenges to join in with! I have made a CAS style mixed media card and taken inspiration from this wonderful card in my favourites gallery -
Stamped the lady with the umbrella, paper pieced, added the spots on the dress using white gel pen and coloured hair and skin using copic pens. Fussy cut the lady. Die cut the rectangles, lightly stamped the "rain" using stamp from Gorgeous Grunge set in Smoky Slate. Added the grassy edges and die cut fence. Stamped the sentiment - words of wisdom - and adhered the lady with the umbrella, using dimensionals.
This card is indicative of the weather here in Sydney for the month of March - rain, rain, rain!!
TFL!

A beautiful card that combined both of these challenges. I love the paper pieced dress. That is my favorite technique especially when it is for clothes. Almost like playing paper dolls as a kid. LOL

Just lovely, Sue......have ordered that stamp, and you have given me inspiration how to use it. Love the subtle colors, and paper piecing, especially the large flower on the umbrella for your theme. Fav'd TFS

Sue, what a genius use of that stamp from Gorgeous Grunge, I've never seen it like this before. Quite apart from that, this is straight into my favourites.
