Today is National Puppy Day so what better than a whole litter of puppies!
This stamp reminds me of my puppy, Tessa, and her litter mates. I went to see them when they were about 6 weeks old and were weaned off of their mother and just starting to eat mushy food - and they all shared it from the same bowl. They would step in the food sometimes and then track it all over their pen. There is a lot of clean-up and laundry involved if you breed dogs! Whoever designed this stamp's image sure knew what they were doing!
I stamped the image in Distress Tea Dye ink as it is close to Tessa's colour, then watercoloured it with various Distress inks. I added the pawprints on the bottom right to balance with the sentiment.
Tessa is now 10 months old and no longer steps in her food and is growing up into a well-mannered (most of the time) and very sweet young dog (most of the time). I should update my avatar to include her as I no longer have Shea, the brown dog in my photo.

I love this image!! There is a show called "Too Cute" that focuses on the breeding of puppies and kittens, and they sure do step in their food. So cute. Your card made me think of that show again.

What a delightful puppy image so wonderfully watercolored, Susan! Makes me want to get another puppy. I'm not sure Kody would like the idea .. he likes getting all the attention! LOL!
