So happy to finally have a new card to submit - it's taken awhile to get back into the swing of things after our awesome trip to Australia - jet lag took its toll upon arriving home, but it was certainly all worth it for a great adventure. I took a liberal interpretation of the color challenge as I have been thinking about this scene for a while and wanted to create a wildlife scene. I got some ideas from viewing the Serengeti gallery and got my socks knocked off by some of the entries - especially Australia Helen!
As for the the spring entry - so many parts of the world have a wet and dry season. The wet season is so very important to renewing many landscapes and providing much needed nutrition for wildlife - so wanted to celebrate that in this card!
Thanks for looking!

Love your sponging! You have certainly captured the heat of the landscape with your golden sky! Great images! The trees have the feel of the ones from the African plains. Super card!

What a beautiful scene, and I agree with Ann that you've captured the sense of the Serengeti! I love it, and it's wonderful you had a great time! Hugs!
