This is my sample for CC626. Maura is our hostess and she chose marina mist, crushed curry and wild wasabi for her color trio. Dessert option is to be bold.
I started my card my stenciling my background using the Stampin'-Up seasonal masks, the challenge colors and Clarity Brushes. I love the soft look you get from using these brushes. Once that was done I took some white acrylic paint and toothbrush and added some paint splatters. That is me being bold for this week's dessert option (lol).
My watering can and tulips are a die from CottageCutz. I added some polka dot dsp to make it a bit trendier. Used crushed curry dsp from the Stampin'-Up "Kaleidoscope" collection. I used a wide oval pierced frame as the backdrop for the watering can, I didn't want to cover up the background so I went with an open frame look.
The sentiment is from the MFP "blessings" stamp set. I decided to add some marina mist ribbon and a bow to finish my card off.
Hope you can play along with us this week. Check out the other DT samples for more inspiration. And, also you can view our color challenge Pinterest board here.

Wow, this is so lovely! The blue is spectacular as the predominant color, love the tulips displayed in the watering can and I especially love the perfect ribbon and bow! The bg is so soft and subtle ties in wonderfully to the tulips and watering can.

Love that background to showcase your pitcher of tulips. So happy to finally see spring bulbs blooming here! Your card is a breath of the lovely Spring season we've been waiting for.

Such a pretty stenciled bg, Mary - I love the look of sponging with those brushes also. Your tulips and watering can are adorable, and I LOVE the paper piecing - such a sweet card!
