Julie's CAS challenge today is all about strings. The more I though about strings the more non-CAS my ideas became. So I toned it all down by wrapping some twine around an acrylic block and stamping up a background. I really like the result!
I started by masking a circle and sponging with Shabby Shutters. Then I took my "twine stamp" and inked it up with Bamboo Leaves. I kept stamping and turning 90 degrees and stamping again to get a cool basket weave look. Then I stamped the tree from the Fiskars Naturescape set and made some faux splatter with markers and gel pen. After I removed the mask, I stamped the sentiment and a butterfly. I'm going to have to make another one of these because as I was putting the butterfly back in its set, I noticed a little bird with a branch that would have looked so much better than the butterfly. Oh man! I stamped the bird on the inside to make myself feel better.

I love your string results. That looks so beautiful. I may have to give that a try and love the design of your card too.
