The hardest part of any challenge for me is finding the right colours and then working out a LO that looks ok.
Finding the right design was easy....I had found one courtesy of the March Scraplift (thank you AnniePanda), now all that was needed was finding a photo that would work. Albeit it's not the best photo, but it was playtime, so off I went.....
As the photo is of our youngest son sliding down a tarpaulin on Aussie Day some years ago, I knew I wanted bubbles or circles somewhere on the layout, so out comes a favourite stencil and away I go spraying. Wasn't quite the effect I was looking for but I loved the splashes and by now it was too late to stop. I was on a roll and determined to get 1 page completed for March!
Out came my gelato's, inks, pens...anything that would help. I'm a big fan of edging things with black and was tempted to start edging the circles I had sprayed on at the bottom with black pen....mmm....maybe later...
With stash that hadn't surfaced out of drawers and boxes for years the page was soon filling up, so I had to ease off a little and try to keep to the original layout. Circles were die cut and popped on but it still needed a little quirkiness which our son likes. Lightbulb moment......a movable magnifying glass was added that had been collecting dust. Don't you love using up old stash?
A few rub-on letters added and some blue gelato rubbed onto the date and done. The embellishments and papers do overwhelm the photo but I'd had fun
Thank you for taking time to look at my layout. Happy day.
