For todays MIX challenge. I did a Brushos water color background and tried to wait 'til it was dry, but I have no patience, so while still damp I laid down my stencil, sprayed with water and soaked blotted with paper towels. Laid down small star, diamond and octagon stencils and sponged honey distress ink over them for a little more interest (shows better IRL). While I was doing all this a new order for Sizzix wildflower dies arrived. Of course I had to use them right away. I went through my "failure" box and found a water color piece that I had stamped with script - used that to cut two wildflowers. Die cut Hugs on a scrap of heavy Cardstock and used it for a stencil - spread embossing paste over that. (While I waited for the paste to dry I played with my new dies.) Once the sentiment dried, I rubbed on two butterflies, added the wildflowers and matted on green and then onto a white base.

Very pretty bg - lots of interest with the extra sponging over some stencils after ghosting with the first one. The reject scripted watercolor made super looking die cut flower.

Wonderful design and colors. The multicolored diecut wildflowers standout nicely to your ghost bg. Might have to give the run-on images a try! The butterflies look great. Thanks for the inspiration!

Lots of amazing layering and texture on this beauty. LOVE the colours of your background ... really looks like spring is here. Great ghosting with your poppy stencil ... the image is really clear. Love those die-cut wildflowers out sponged and text stamped paper. Your rub on butterflies are just the perfect finishing touch. Beautiful card!

I love the bold colors on this and what fun to use your new dies. I know what you mean about being impatient when it comes to drying..I'm the same way....This turned out lovely!
