For an easy and fun sketch this one stumped me for a while. I started off looking through my digis for an image for the main panel, but then changed to looking for round digi to go in the circle. After I chose this cute little house from Tiddly Inks, I decided that I wanted to make that angled panel busy with some other digis. These wildflowers that I bought on etsy proved to be perfect: https://www.etsy.com/listing/4356475...home_active_85
So I printed them out and colored them and then decided that I would like some light distressed faux wood for the triangle. To make that I used a light gray paper and Antique Linen, London Fog, and Frayed Burlap. I really like the color of the wood I got using those inks. Finally, I chose a cute EF for the back panel. After I assembled, I added in some doodling to frame up the wildflowers.
This card took some time. Probably because I just threw all kinds of things at it and hoped it stuck. I think it works. I feel like a lot of times when I have no plan I'm happier with my card than when I have an exact picture of what I want in my head. Having an exact idea in your head is often a set up for disappointment. I was simply pleasantly surprised with how the random elements of this card came together.

Love the way your doodling looks like a trellis for the vines to hang from! This is a wonderful 'New Home' card or welcome to the neighbourhood! I really like the embossed background and wood look panel!

Your faux wood looks so great!! Smart to use the little house image and a dp panel. I never would have thought of it!! Great job!

I struggled awhile with this sketch too - The strange angle piece kinda threw everything off balance for me . . . . I like how you used it as a bg filler and let the circular element be the star. LOVE the faux wood - I think you have mastered that technique!
(and yes neighbor - I was up at DARK:30 this morning - restless night - so made my card and then CRASHED! - It's gonna be a long day)

Great doodling on the angled panel of wildflowers. I struggled with this sketch too, but I love how your card turned out. It's really cute as is the image in the circle.
