For the "Love a Technique" challenge, I went with a favorite technique of mine...Herringbone. It's really easy and a great way to use scraps of paper. Here's a link to the SCS tutorial: Herringbone Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
I started with a 3-3/4x5 piece of Whisper White CS and ran it through my Xyron machine. You don't have to have a Xyron machine, but it makes this technique much easier. I used 4-5 strips of three different patterns of DSP that were 3/8" inches wide and about 6" long.
This is a great technique to use if you have some really busy/bold patterned DSP, too.

Beautiful card. I, too, love anything that reminds me of quilting. I love to make these kinds of cards, but yours is especially nice done in those designer papers. TFS

I always love how this technique looks but I'm sure if I'm patient enough for it. I do think it would appeal to some of my quilter friends. This one looks really nice with you DSP choice.

Gosh, this is really pretty. I tried this technique several months ago at a shoebox swap, but all of the strips were pre-cut. I need to try this again on my own.
