This is a concept SO far out of my comfort zone that I had already packed up my supplies for the day! But as I thought about it I realized that these challenges are not meant to intimidate but to encourage us to try new things - so back to the craft room where I decided to face not one but TWO fears . . . Years ago I bought this 3 Step stamp set but no matter what I tried it just never looked right - maybe because it was only leaves & flowers HMMM - maybe a doodled stem??? I 3-step stamped the blossom (looks better than usual) Then drew a wavy line for the stem (yuck) added a second swirled line - better - and some dots. Then stamped the leaves and underlined them with more dots . . . . my flower center was kind of lost so I doodle dotted around it too and finished with a very simple doodled frame.
Will I ever try this again . . .only time will tell but at least I ended up with a usable card.

Sweet! Your doodled frame is awesome. I really like the design of it. I enjoyed reading about your process and thinking about the challenge. Your flower is really pretty too.

H.E. DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS YES!!! Pa-lease... you totally faked that fear cause your doodling is THE BOMB!!! Although I think this would be considered a totally different technique since the doodling is around the card itself instead of the image. Can't think of the name of it at the moment but I'll do some checking. Still... love your card!!!
