True confession time... I only made one of these, but I think I remade it four times!!
WT623 asks us to make a shaped card! I was sooooo excited, I'll make them with my unused MFT camera die!!! Then reality set in. I actually set the die the wrong way on the fold, so it was opening backwards, it didn't cut through both sides, so I cut out the rest. So instead of doing just a wide strip of shiny black, I had to cover the whole thing, because the back was now the front and it was a mess from the cutting plate.
Then I tried to put acetate over the picture. I got the first punch stuck, fortunately I figured out to punch it between paper and used a larger circle. Even after that, it ended up a gluey mess and I took it off and recut the "lens" part.
In the end I think it's cute. The card is for my aunt's birthday. She is enjoying her first grandchild who will be one in March (He's the spitting image of his daddy). The second will be debuting in June. My cousin's due date is close to my daughters' birthday. My cousin was 13 when my girls were born and she was a huge help to me with the babies. The girls will just be 14 and I know one of them will be baby crazy and want to help.

Well done on persevering - I think most of us have had days like that. I can tell you know I nearly stamped the main image upside down yesterday after having stamped text on a background. Luckily I looked twice and made sure. I think this is brilliant - a wonderful keepsake card. It reminds me of my first instamatic camera, I was about 12, and I was so proud of it. It took those old flash cubes - yikes!
Do you have circle dies? They cut through most acetate, and even when they don't cut a clean cut through, it's enough that just gently sliding a scissors around still gives a clean finish.
I think the Bazzill Bling gives this the perfect finish too - genius idea! I noticed that straight away and then went to your list of papers to see if I was right.

Your camera is a great way to showcase your photo! Love the shimmer & texture of the paper and your sentiment gave me a giggle.

Love your camera card! Perfect way to feature a picture (and isn't he a cutie!) The paper you used really contributes to the realism. I enjoyed your story - some projects just go like that - so happy you kept on with it. The final result is a real keeper!

The card is just so cute and worth every minute of frustration you spent on it. . . .! But I must admit I had to laugh at your story too - not because of what happened but because I've been there too - felt that pain and like the commedian who makes us laugh at true stories because "we've all done it" but it's easier to see the humor when it isn't us it's happening to.

Your card is adorable and will be a keepsake! I can relate to your true confession. I think I named one of my cards Take 5, for the number of times it took to get it right.

Read of your trials and tribulations....BUT your "camera" is beyond precious(and well worth the effort)...especially with that cute-patootie in the lens. Sure to be a GIANT hit with your aunt.
