Today's challenge is to make a shape card. Pinterest says this is a shape card. I've never made a Side Step card, and I just got a Scor-Buddy, so I've been wanting to try it.
My aunt asked me if I could make a 60th birthday card with a man playing golf at the beach. I told her of course I can. I thought about making the card shaped like a "60", but this side step card is really perfect for this landscape type of card.
I sponged the cloudy sky first, then the water, then the sand dunes. I stamped some stones with "Itty Bitty Backgrounds" onto the dunes. And made my golf course using a stitched landscape die. Unmasked the golfer and colored, wrote my sentiment, and drew on some seagulls. I think this card is so fun! I'm really glad you challenged me to make a fun shaped card today, Cathy!

My favorite tools are my stitched shapes dies, because they give my card a much more finished look.

I've never tried one of these but I love the way yours turned out - great scene - love the rolling mounds of grass & sand dunes - your friend will adore this and so should her hubby.

Very cool indeed - you've created a fabulous links for your golfer. This is one of those formats I really struggle with, but you've used it perfectly to create a wonderful scene.
