I needed to make a card for an upcoming baby shower for a girl at work. I had bought MFT's Blueprints 20 dienamics set back when it came out, but had yet to use it. This gave me a perfect opportunity to do so.
Die cut the quilt from Bazzill pink bling cardstock and again from Bazzill diamond white bling cardstock and some gingham DSP that was in my stash. After some deliberation, decided to cut off 2 of the squares so I'd be left with a square quilt block. Cut a square piece of cardstock the same size for some dimension.
Cut 2 panels just smaller than my card base - one in diamond bling and one plain. Used double-faced tape to attach and then layered to my card base.
Using double faced tape and glossy accents, I assembled my quilt block on the additional cardstock square I had cut. Attached to my card front. (Note: I actually turned my little quilt squares sideways to work with my design.)
I wanted to keep the design CAS, but still felt I needed a bit of embellishment. I had these tiny buttons in my stash and thought they were perfect.
Used my MISTI, I positioned my sentiment and stamped in Memento London Fog.
