I needed to make 2 birthday cards & loved this sketch (Freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com, FMS272) and Color dare #228 for white daisy, raspberry & lagoon (ColorMyHeartColorDare.blogspot.com). I'm not sure which one I like best although I do wish I had corner punched both cards! After adhering the Adventure Fundamentals paper onto the base, I punched circles to layer with the shimmer trim. I stamped the heart in 2nd generation raspberry & attached with foam tape. I stamped the cupcake & used the matching Thin Cuts to die cut it & also die cut it on the patterned paper. Then I trimmed the paper, cut the top with decorative scissors, stamped the sentiment & adhered as the cupcake wrapper. I also attached the cupcake with foam tape and used clear Wink of Stella on both the heart & the cupcake frosting. I'll use a traditional Happy Birthday stamp inside the card but thought this sentiment went well with the paper. It's been COLD here so I think these cards will brighten up the birthdays for 2 special friends! (I also submitted for HLS January/Anything Goes (www.happylittlestampers.com) & www.Simonsaysstampblog.com/Wednesdaychallenge) TFL!
