For our "D" challenge. Went with this week's CC618. Double alphabet challenge was to represent a decade. Mine is from the 1890's. The song Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer, do....bicycle built for two, etc. Dessert for CC was valentine's. Hearts are coming out of the basket that I stamped in Delicata gold and colored in with s.n. marker. Could not get a good impression with the Delight stamp so I unmounted it. I didn't plan to use the decorative label punch. Just had problems with the sentiment so this was the result. I used the punch on the white, and stamped on the rose red, and used lots of dimensionals on the back of the white. Edited: Use memento ink in future, as the color bled eventually when I had used versafine by mistake to stamp first.

Shirl very cute card! I really like that bike stamp (and have it too!) and it looks great in this week's CC. Hmmm, decorative label steps in? I'm familiar with that technique! It looks great. Fun card.

Oh Shirl, what a delightfully fun card for the color challenge and for the alphabet challenge for the letter D. I love this tandem bicycle image with the basket full of hearts for the cc desert. The label with sentiment looks purposeful and ties the design together very nicely. Hugs my friend! ~Karen.

What a cute bicycle built for two with the little hearts coming out of the basket! I remember my mom singing that song to us children....many decades ago!

Ah Shirl, you are going to have me singing that song all day now! what a cool tandem bicycle and I love the hearts coming out of the basket.
I have had a ride on a tandem bicycle, but it was really scary, riding in traffic on a busy street in Toronto. That was just before my DD's wedding. When she got married in the park, she rode her bicycle in to the staging area, wearing her wedding dress. And her groom also rode iin on his bicycle from the opposite side. After the vows were said, they hopped on a tandem bicycle together and rode through the park. We had the dinner at the park, and afterwards they led a convoy of bicycles about 2 miles in the city to the place where the dessert party /dance was being held. Thanks for taking me down memory lane, almost 7 years ago now.

Darling card! I know that song, but haven't thought about it for years. This card represents the song and decade very nicely. Love the bicycle with the basket and the hearts. The sentiment is perfect for your card, the challenge and the theme. Now, I will have this fun song in my head all day. Don't mind at all. Daisy, Daisy, give me .... TFS
