This is for MMTPT442. The challenge was to create a peaceful pastoral scene with a critter to smile at. My husband bought me flowers yesterday, and I was looking at them, trying to get inspiration. I realized, THERE was a peaceful scene.
My card, therefore, is of a glass jar with two stems of watercolored flowers inside and twine wrapped around the neck of the jar. A third stem is lying at the base waiting to be put in the water. (There is aqua watercoloring on the acrylic but it is hard to see). A peaceful bird picture represents the critter, and the sentiment is, there is beauty in simplicity. TFL

Kandie, this is really, really lovely my friend. You do vintage so well and this card is proof of that. This jar of flowers is so unique and interesting and COOL! I love the soft colors you added to the bird image and the soothing, yet vibrant colors on the flowers. The touch of twine and your embossed leaf are the perfect finishing touches on this wonderful card. Your brain must be working 24/7 my friend - I am really impressed! Hugs! ~Karen.

this is a beautiful card. Yes it does have a calming effect and yet it has wonderful components that work to make all the embellishments work together to create this work of art. Love your card and I know that Bobbette will also.
