Opted out of dessert today, because I looked at these colors and thought they would make a lovely sympathy card. I started off by masking a corner and doing a watercolor wash with charcoal Spectrum Aqua. Then I stamped the first branch and remembered that I had meant to take off the tape first. Oops! So I took of the tape before I stamped the blossom branches. I colored the blossoms and the leaves loosely using Spectrum Noir DR6, PL3, GG1, and GG2 and added some random spots with the grays. Then I went in with my white gel pen and gave the flowers and leaves some highlights and threw in some random white spots as well. In my head these branches were going to be hanging down on the card, but then I got out my Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the sentiment. After I stamped the sentiment on the Stamp-a-ma-jig, I decided the flip the card around and see how it would look that way. This is why I LOVE my Stamp-a-ma-jig--because I can see all the different options for my card. Ultimately decided I liked the branches growing up. TFL!

Your color wash is Gorgeous! Lovely bits of splatter on it; beautiful flowers with the touch of white highlights! I agree that these colors do make a nice sympathy card. Your card is very soothing; which is needed at these times~
