This is for the Featured Stamper Challenge honoring Twila / tjdstampsalot. IÂ’ve been trying to use up old paper for the past year; itÂ’s been fun & challenging. ItÂ’s not a new concept to use strips of paper this way. However, when I saw TwilaÂ’s card, it seemed like a fresh idea. I really like her take on it. See her card here:
I liked how she used a sentiment strip across in Kraft CS and the tying on scraps of ribbon or twine. Although I did use the same paper pack, I changed it up by selecting some different patterns. I made three cards with different card bases: Costal Cabana, Real Red and Kraft like Twila. I made the sentiment strip as a banner and embossed in white instead of stamping in black. I changed the stamps and used different ribbon/twine. The two strips with the red ribbon are glued flat and the one with twine is popped up because the twine is thicker. Fun cards to make. Saving this idea. Thanks for sharing your cards, Twila. Thanks everyone for looking at mine.

You have made some really terrific cards here Diane. I love this unique card layout and the fun white embossed kraft banner too. You have inspired me to look at my scraps in a whole new way now! You have done a terrific job making this cards from the inspiration cards you chose. Hugs! ~Karen.
