Karen is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week. She has asked us to use Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride and Old Olive, with the dessert option, Hope of Spring.
While I was making this card, a favorite line from Shelley was going through my head: "If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?" The weather has been brutal in many parts of the US already, and winter has just begun. Karen's dessert option led me happily to turn my thoughts to Spring. And what better as a symbol than the tulip--one of the first flowers of Spring.
I used a new-to-me set from Altenew, Tulips, along with the three ink colors (Old Olive stamped off for the lighter color), all outlined in black. I used dies to cut out the panels, and added some candy dots and sequins.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

Aw, we both used tulips today! Great minds run in the same direction, right! Love that dotted paper for your bg, Barbara! Pretty framing using the scalloped rectangle~
