I loved Amy Koender's card at https://goo.gl/Ktg1VY, which I used as my inspiration. I used different colors, and a circle instead of an oval, and added the embossed "sand" strip; but her card is what inspired me. I'm a pushover for anything with aqua colors in it!
For this card I used the Stampin' Up! Seaside embossing folder to create the "waves" behind the circle. Then, to add "sand" for the sandpipers to scamper across, I embossed a a Tip Top Taupe strip using the exact same area on the embossing folder so that I could lay the "sand" ripples right on top of the "wave" ripples for a snug fit.
The main circle was stamped with the Wetlands sandpiper stamp in Stazon Jet Black. Then using the brushstroke stamp from Work of Art, I first stamped the water/sky with Pool Party, then Bermuda Bay. Atop this I stamped the sentiment from Wetlands. Then using circle dies I cut out the white circle, then with a size larger die, a Pool Party mat for the circle.
The matted circle was attached to the front of the card using Adhesive Foam Strips.
The three circles at the bottom are clam shells from the SU's 1997 Fish Frolics stamp set. They were stamped with Stazon, then punched out with a 3/4" punch. These small circles were mounted across the bottom using foam strips as well.
It might be interesting to replace the clam shells with just a bird or two from the larger Wetlands stamp on each small circle at the bottom.
