I am so in love with this Power Poppy "Tea in the Garden" stamp set. I've had it for a while and I am finally creating a card with it. I'm sure that I am not the only one out there that remembers the Jello poke cakes from years ago. If you don't know, you would bake a regular cake, let it bake and then take a skewer and poke holes in the cooled cake. Then you would make jello the regular way by mixing the jello powder with one cup boiling hot water and one cup cold water and pour it over the cake. Once you cut the cake, it would have a pretty colored design on each slice. Correct me if I am wrong with that description...it's been a long time since I made one of those cakes. Well anyway, that is what I wanted to create with this cake stamp and I am happy with the way it came out. Thanks for looking.

This is just lovely! I am also in love with that set....well, truth is, I'm in love with all of their sets! ;) You really colored your cake beautifully and your description has intrigued me. Think I will have to try that! I guess I will be hunting for a recipe on Pinterest later tonight!

Marvelous card...love your dsp combination and all your zigzag stitching...great effect. Cake coloring is so realistic...beautifully done...look scrumptious...my stomach is growling! Love the cake on the tag and its colored backdrop peeking through the holes...all your embellies and just perfect!
