Use the Joseph's Coat or Embossing Resist technique, using DSP instead of laying down my own colors under the embossing. Love this Moroccan DSP. I tried to make the medallion look like fireworks.
Something Old: The Technique
Something New: New Stamps--first time to use them! Also New Year.
Something Borrowed: I borrowed Joseph's Coat for the background (teehee!)
Something Blue: Background is Night of Navy

Well, the medallion is on fire and what a great way to make a Happy New Year card. Super creation!

Oh wow, that is a COOL idea using DP as the background for Joseph's coat because I have to say I have never, ever had luck with this technique. The overall look reminds me of the Emerging Colours technique too - good to see old techniques getting a fresh airing. I really like that sentiment - a New Year one is something I need to add to my stash.
