The challenge required a very clean and simple layout with two panels. When I saw that a simple single stamp could be the highlight, I dug into my collection of Stampin' Up! retired stamps for the precious girl bear in the retired 1998 "Bow Bear" set (SCS doesn't even list it in the SU collection!).
I recently was given the book "Shadows & Shading" by Marianne Walker as a Christmas gift. I skimmed it quickly before trying to color the bear. After I read it more closely, I'm going to do the bear again using the guides they provided to see how much I learn.
Regardless of my Copics coloring skills, I think the cute bear will make a great baby card, or birthday card for toddler girl.
The card base is Stampin' Up!'s Blushing Bride, the matting is Regal Rose, and the pink houndstooth pattern paper is SU's Designer Series Paper "Sweet Pea".
I love the simplicity and sweetness of this card!
